Right now, Indigenous and local populations in Maui are experiencing the tragic loss of loved ones, shelter, and culturally significant property as a result of the recent wildfires. As climate change continues to accelerate, it will also continue to disproportionately impact communities of color and economically marginalized communities across the country.
